The City of Fort Collins wanted a people pleasing project
to inaugurate their Public Art Program. The concept comes from
pedestrian bridge which means 'Foot Bridge'. The bridge is a
street gallery of feet images from famous paintings, etchings
and film. The artist noticed that everybody, from the plumber
to a grocery store clerk recognizes famous art images from Art
History whether they can name them or not. The 'famous feet'
images on the bridge are part of a game of recognition. The bronze
'feet' bolted to the bridge railing were inspired by famous artists
and are not taken literally from any works of art.
